Nu släpps det nya versioner av 64-bitars Pardus. Som jag förstår det så jobbar de i första hand med Kurumsal 2 och allt verkar än så länge vara mer eller mindre pre-alpha, men det bådar gott att utvecklingen fortskrider.

Pardus Corporate 2 Preview Release

Hi,
The first official preview release of the upcoming Pardus Corporate 2 is now available at:

ftp://ftp.pardus.org.tr/pub/pardus/kurulan/corporate2/Preview[2010.02.02]/

Note that this the Turkish/English bilingual installation image. The international installation image is not currently available.

We strongly recommend you to verify the integrity of the installation image with md5sum or sha1sum, to use good quality blank media, to burn the images in DAO (Disc-At-Once) mode with a maximum of 16X burning speed for a painless installation experience.

Pardus Corporate 2 is shipped with KDE 3.5.10 which has a good reputation for its stability and performance. All other components of the system are updated to offer a fast, comfortable and problem-free desktop experience. Here are the basic components and their versions shipped within Pardus Corporate 2 Preview release:

  • KDE 3.5.10
  • Linux Kernel 2.6.32.7
  • OpenOffice.org Office Suite 3.1.1.5
  • Mozilla Firefox Web Browser 3.5.7
  • Xorg 1.7.3.901
  • Gimp 2.6.8
  • Python 2.6.4
  • GCC 4.3.3
  • Glibc 2.9

Keep in mind that this is a *preview* release and because of the fast development process, you will get massive number of package updates as more bugs are fixed.

Förhandstest av Pardus Corporate 2

Jag installerade nyligen Pardus Corporate 2 som är en ny version av Pardus där KDE 3.5.10 används som skrivbordsmiljö, i övrigt är alla program rykande färska.

Trots att det är en förhandsversion är den körbar. Svenska är tillgängligt efter installation.
