Nu släpps det nya versioner av 64-bitars Pardus. Som jag förstår det så jobbar de i första hand med Kurumsal 2 och allt verkar än så länge vara mer eller mindre pre-alpha, men det bådar gott att utvecklingen fortskrider.

As you know, Pardus 2009.1, the first minor update of Pardus 2009 will soon be released. Pardus 2008 will be switched to the security-only mode after the release of Pardus 2009.1.
Pardus 2008 will no longer be maintained once Pardus 2009.2, the second minor update of Pardus 2009 is released.
So the maintenance policy is as follows:
- With the first minor update of the current major release, switch the previous major release to security-only mode,
- Once the second minor update of the current major release is announced, stop maintaining the previous major release.
