We have prepared a new developer ISO [1] for Pardus 2009 and named it
prealpha2. It still is ”2008 installation system installing 2009
packages”. If you want to work on the developement of 2009 just install
the CD and do a ”pisi up”.
To make the package merging process systematically we have put a
roadmap to kdepim package. Once we are able to install a desktop system
where we can send mails, I believe we will be able to progress much
faster. To see the roadmap check the urgentpackages [2] file, and if
you have a package in that list please prepare it ”under an 2009
system” and merge it to pardus/2009/stable.
If your packages are not in the list, you don’t need to wait for the
list to complete. You can merge your packages as soon as you are
sure they are ready for 2009.
After the list is finished, we will put another target to reach.
